When to marry in Noosa

We run throughout the year. The boat is fully enclosable should it rain. Winter sunsets are the most beautiful of all, and there’s usually less rain too. Temperatures in July and August drop considerably after sunset, but it is still mild in April and May as you’ll see below. September is usually the busiest time of year for weddings, so book early, or choose another date.

Average air temperatures

Many destination weddings are organised with the idea of the guests having a holiday at the same time, therefore the day on which you have your ceremony isn’t so important. Mid-week deals are often available.

Where to marry

There are lots of lovely places to marry in Noosa, some of which we can collect you from with the boat. If it rains. we can arrange to hold your wedding ceremony onboard.

Whilst we can only visit beaches, islands and sandbars within the river system, this does not stop you getting married on another beach or riverside venue and being picked up from a nearby jetty - for example, it’s only a 5 minute walk from Noosa Main Beach locations to the Woods Bay or Sheraton jetties.

What arrangements to make

Officially, you do need permission to marry in a public place in Noosa, but it is a formality (and costs $137). Visit the Sunshine Coast Council website for more useful wedding information.

Who do you need to help you

If you have the budget, check out the local wedding planners. Alternatively, you may need to organise a celebrant, accommodation, transport, a photographer, a cake, a decorator, a DJ or band.
